Custom coloured storefront for Dan Murphy’s Guildford
A custom moss green Kaynemaile mesh was developed for this project to perfectly match the Dan Murphy’s brand colour.
Dan Murphy’s is an Australian liquor store chain with 226 stores across the country. Kaynemaile worked with i2C Architects to develop the exterior signage for a new store in Guilford, New South Wales which was built as part of a major refurbishment of the adjoining Golfview Hotel.
A custom moss green Kaynemaile mesh was developed for this project to perfectly match the Dan Murphy’s brand colour. This mesh was used behind the large sign at the front of the building creating a strong entry statement. The mesh allows for transparency behind the signage which gave some lightness to the aesthetic and meant the large frontage made up of 4, 5 x 5 metre screens did not look heavy or boxy. As Kaynemaile is lightweight (3kg m2, 0.6lb/ft2) it also reduced the amount of structural supports required for a screen of this size.
At night the Kaynemaile mesh works with the lighting to really showcase the brand.
